Anchorage police find missing 15-year-old

Andrew was found safely at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Anchorage Police wrote in a second bulletin Tuesday.

Anchorage police are asking for the public's help in locating a 15-year-old girl missing from an East Anchorage home Monday, according to a bulletin the Department released early Tuesday morning.

Police say Eliza Andrew was last seen shortly before 10 p.m. Monday "running away from her residence near Pioneer Drive off of Muldoon Road." Police added that there was an unspecified concern about "her mental health and well-being."

Andrew moved to Anchorage several months ago, and remains unfamiliar with the area, police said.

Andrew, an Alaska Native, stands 5 feet, 1 inch tall and has short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweater and black pants.

Police urge anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to contact them immediately at 907-786-8900.
