Troopers: Approximately 30 guns stolen from Wasilla home

About 30 firearms were stolen from a Wasilla home Wednesday, along with the safe that housed them, Alaska State Troopers said.

In an online dispatch, troopers wrote that they responded to a home on South Morgan Drive shortly after 12:30 p.m, where someone had stolen a Sentry safe.

Inside the safe was a "large sum of cash," about 30 guns, and personal documents, troopers said. The estimated value of all of the stolen items is $50,000.

Anyone with information on the burglary is being asked to call troopers at 907-745-2131.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
