Stoffel wins one masters handball title, runner-up for another

John Stoffels of North Mankato, Minnesota, won the seniors division and finished second in the masters division of the U.S. Handball Association's National Masters Singles Small Ball Championship, which wrapped Sunday at The Alaska Club Midtown.

Also earning titles were Chris Tico of Berkeley, California; Bill Vobach of Denver, Colorado; Mike Barna of San Jose, California; David Steinberg of Portland, Oregon; Edward Campbell of Granite Bay, California; Ron Sapp of Mukilteo, Washington; and Lew Buckingham of Greencastle, Pennsylvania.

William Cervantes of Albuquerque, New Mexico, notched two runner-up finishes.
