Gruhn, Brown top orienteering meet

Steve Gruhn scored 880 of a possible 1,160 points Tuesday night to post the highest score at the Big-O orienteering meet in Kincaid Park.

Gruhn topped men's runner-up Mike Robinson (730 points).

Elissa Brown led the women's division with 620 points and edged Lorena Knapp by just 10 points. The team of Bill Spencer, Nowelle Spencer and Ella Nash scored 650 points.

Racers had one hour to find as many control stations as possible of the 30 available.
