A Utah woman was rescued from Flattop Mountain Sunday and flown by helicopter to a local hospital after she was hurt in a fall, Alaska State Troopers said.
Few details were immediately available, but troopers said 38-year-old Jennifer Quarry was near the summit of the mountain, a popular Anchorage hike, when she was injured Sunday afternoon.
Troopers, Alaska State Parks Rangers and a LifeMed helicopter responded to the scene shortly after 2:30 p.m. Quarry was helped by numerous bystanders and carried by responders to the helicopter where she was "flown to the hospital without further incident," troopers said.
Her injuries weren't life-threatening, troopers said.
