Alaska Airlines flight from Juneau hit by laser, lands safely at Sea-Tac

SEATTLE — The crew of an Alaska Airlines flight from Juneau reported experiencing a laser strike late Thursday as the jet approached Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The plane landed safely with 75 people on board.

Airline spokesperson Halley Knigge said Flight 66 was approaching the airport shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday when the incident occurred.

She had no immediate information on whether anyone in the cockpit was affected by the laser.

The plane carried 70 passengers and five crew members.
