Troopers arrest man for firing shots into Southwest Alaska home

A 29-year-old Iliamna man was arrested early Monday morning after he fired a rifle into a home and refused to cooperate with law enforcement, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Sunday evening, troopers received a report that Lee Ludvick was firing a high-powered rifle into a window and door of a local residence. His parents and a friend were inside, troopers said.

Troopers based in Iliamna responded, but the door was shut and no one inside would answer. Law enforcement also attempted to reach Ludvick's parents via cellphone, troopers said, but Ludvick quickly hung up the phone.

Both parents were able to get out of the home but they were uncooperative with authorities, troopers said.

A task force with the troopers' special emergency response team flew in and eventually made their way inside with help from a robotic vehicle. They found Ludvick passed out, troopers said.

Ludvick was arrested shortly after midnight and charged with misconduct involving a weapon and criminal mischief.

No one was injured.

Troopers did not immediately respond to requests for additional details.
