Alaska State Troopers said they arrested a 27-year-old man Thursday on a first-degree murder charge in the death of a 4-year-old boy.
Troopers identified the man arrested as Christopher Sadowski of North Pole. He was taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Center, troopers said.
On May 5, troopers said they got a report at about 3 a.m. of an unresponsive 4-year-old at a North Pole home. The boy, whom troopers did not identify, was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by emergency room staff.
The Alaska Bureau of Investigation has been investigating the boy's death since May. On Aug. 5, the State Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide, troopers said.
Additional details were not immediately available Thursday evening.
