Holy Rosary 1, Su-Valley 1
After 70 minutes of scoreless soccer, Holy Rosary and Su-Valley each scored late goals Tuesday in a 1-1 draw in Talkeetna.
Holy Rosary's Jake Siebs scored on a penalty kick the 70th minute to break the deadlock. Jack Starbucks came up with the equalizer for Su-Valley with two minutes left.
In a Monday game, Jake Siebs scored two goals and three assists and Holy Rosary scored five second-half goals to seize a 6-1 win over Wasilla Lake.
The game was tied 1-1 at the half, with Atlin Bell providing the goal and goalkeeper Eric Bjelland turning back six shots for Holy Rosary.
It was all Holy Rosary in the second half -- Patrick Droege tallied a hat trick and Siebs netted two goals.
With the win and the tie, Holy Rosary finished the conference season 9-4-2 and is 12-5-2 overall, its best record since 2011.
