Following a week-long break from competition, the UAA women's basketball team hosts its annual Seawolf Hoops Classic on Saturday and Sunday at the Alaska Airlines Center.
This season's tournament includes a fundraiser to benefit the state's Pick. Click. Give. program. The UAA athletic department will donate $2 for every ticket purchased online with a special code. Fans can direct their donations to one of six nonprofit organization — Stone Soup Group (code: SOUP), Boys and Girls Club of Southcentral Alaska (CLUB), Special Olympics Alaska (OLYMPICS), Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska (ALZAK), Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) and Bean's Café (BEANS).
The teams for this season's tournament are UC San Diego, UAF and Cedarville University from Ohio.
