Soldotna man faces felony charges over forged car insurance papers

A Soldotna man facing a single motor-vehicle citation now faces two additional felony counts, after Alaska State Troopers say a check he requested resulted in three more charges against him.

According to an online dispatch Sunday, 35-year-old Bradley Perkovich contacted troopers at the Soldotna post around 4 p.m. Saturday seeking to correct a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance on demand.

"The insurance documentation provided by Perkovich to the Alaska State Troopers was found to have been intentionally falsified by Perkovich," troopers wrote. "Additionally, Perkovich was found to be in violation of his conditions of release."

Troopers arrested Perkovich for violating his release conditions, as well as second-degree forgery and tampering with physical evidence. He was held without bail at the Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
