Anchorage police seek suspect in Airport Heights bank robbery

Update: Anchorage FBI officials have identified the man seen in surveillance video last week robbing an AlaskaUSA Federal Credit Union branch on DeBarr Road.

In a Monday statement, FBI spokeswoman Staci Feger-Pellessier said the man who demanded and received money from the branch at 2600 DeBarr Rd. shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 30 is 24-year-old Myles David Hoeger.

"Anyone who has information regarding Mr. Hoeger's location is urged to call the FBI at 907-276-4441," Feger-Pellessier wrote.

Original story: Anchorage police and federal investigators are asking for help finding a suspect in a Wednesday morning bank robbery in Airport Heights.

According to police and FBI accounts, the suspect entered the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union at 2600 DeBarr Road between 10:30 and 10:40 a.m. Wednesday and demanded cash. He received "an undisclosed amount of money," the FBI said.

The suspect "left the bank on foot and headed southbound towards Airport Heights Elementary," police said.

Anchorage police said the suspect is a white man, possibly in his 20s, and the FBI added that he is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall.
