Kenai River Brown Bears snap 30-game win drought

Good for the Kenai River Brown Bears -- they won 4-2 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday to kill a 30-game winless streak that stretched close to four months.

The Brown Bears had gone 0-29-1 since a 4-3 win at Janesville on Sept. 18.

Nicholas Nast racked 51 saves for the Brown Bears, who received one goal and one assist from Jordan Hanks, and goals from Sam Carlson, Bayley Marshall and Joey Sardina.

The Brown Bears (2-31-1) have earned all five of their points in the standings on the road (2-13-1).

The next barrier they must breach is winning on home ice -- they're 0-18-0 in Soldotna.

But, hey, that's for the future. Let the Brown Bears enjoy Saturday's win.
