Prep baseball: Eagle River, Chugiak take victories

Eagle River 4, Dimond 2

The Eagle River baseball team scored two runs on a two-out Dimond error in the bottom of the sixth inning Thursday to beat the Lynx 4-2 at Mulcahy Stadium.

Josh Lynn and Ray Delgado scored on the error, breaking a 2-2 tie in the Cook Inlet Conference game.

Dylan Montagino drove in both runs for Dimond, which outhit the Wolves 7-6.

The game was tied 2-2 after two innings.

Chugiak 16, East 1

Chugiak's Brady Lindberg drove in four runs and pitched four innings of a five-inning no-hitter Thursday in his team's 16-1 CIC baseball win over East.

Lindberg and Jakub Kindred combined for five strikeouts and six walks for the Mustangs.

Charlie Bucolo had three RBIs for Chugiak, which piled up 10 hits against none for East.

The T-birds scored a run in the first inning when Lindberg walked three straight batters before throwing a run-scoring wild pitch.
