Prep baseball: Curfman, Lindberg fuel Chugiak's 6-0 start

Right-handers Cody Curfman and Brady Lindberg have combined for five wins to spearhead Chugiak's 6-0 start in Cook Inlet Conference baseball.

Curfman, a senior, has won three games and delivered a 1.31 earned-run average. Lindberg, a junior, has won two games and owns a 0.78 ERA. Lindberg also has picked off three runners and hit .462 in conference games. He's driven in 10 runs.

Meanwhile, South (5-1) has prospered courtesy of Anthony Maldonado (.563) and Max Costello (.474), who rank 1-2 in league batting average.

Saturday, Dimond beat West 10-7 at Mulcahy Stadium.

Dimond starter Jake Andresen struck out six in four innings and permitted just one run. He also furnished two hits and two runs. Dimond's Noah Alexander singled, doubled, stole a base and scored two runs.

West's Hawk Wanamaker was 3 for 4, scored two runs and drove in a run. West's Luis Nunez doubled twice and drove in three runs.
