Anchorage Police looking for man accused of Fairview shooting

Anchorage Police are asking for help finding a man accused of a shooting in Fairview.

According to police, on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m., police dispatch took a call from an employee at Spirits of Alaska on Gambell Street, who said a man came into the store bleeding from his leg.

When police arrived, the victim, Curtis Mannings, informed officers he had been picked up by a man he knew only as "Q" who wanted to talk to him about "a debt." "Q" allegedly pulled a pistol at some point and got out of the car. Mannings also got out of the car and attempted to flee down an alley, but "Q" fired a shot that hit Mannings in the leg.

Mannings was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released, and after a brief investigation, police believe "Q" is 21-year-old Anchorage resident Quincy Hernandez.

Police are offering a reward worth up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of Hernandez, who has a warrant for felony assault. Call Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or Anchorage police at 786-8900 with any tips.
