National Geographic looks at Bristol Bay and Pebble Mine

In case you're feeling a bit empty because there's not enough Pebble Mine and Bristol Bay news in your life, you're in luck. National Geographic has published a new first-hand report and series of photographs, written by Edwin Dobb and shot by Michael Melford. The two traveled around Bristol Bay to find out more about the area's valuable subsistence, commercial and sport fisheries, and traveled to the area of the proposed mine site. You'll never guess who flew the correspondents up the Nushagak River ... former Republican state lawmaker Rick Halford. Read much, much more, here. And if you're tired of reading about the controversial proposed project, at least check out the photo gallery -- it's truly spectacular.
