According to CNN, Sarah Palin is pretty upset with Dick Cheney.
The former Alaska governor took offence to Cheney calling her selection as the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate a "mistake." In a Sunday interview with ABC News, Cheney reflected that Palin would not have been prepared to step up as the next vice president of the United States in the event of John McCain's victory over Barack Obama.
Following Cheney's remark, Palin noted that the former vice president's totally unfounded opinion of her GOP nomination must have been a symptomatic of the "lamestream media's" influence. In a Fox News appearance on Tuesday, Palin made fun of Cheney, who once accidentally shot a hunting companion, by starting off with a small jibe at his ability to handle a firearm:
Seeing as how Dick – excuse me, Vice President Cheney – never misfires, then evidently he's quite convinced that what he had evidently read about me by the lamestream media, having been written, what I believe is a false narrative over the last four years, evidently Dick Cheney believed that stuff and that's a shame.
Of her general position within the Republican Party, Palin goes on to quote the band Dire Straits:
"Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger, baby, and sometimes you're the ball." Evidently, in these last months, per many many comments from those within the GOP establishment, I'm the ball.
