Will the mystery surrounding Sir John Franklin's ill-fated Arctic quest to find the fabled Northwest Passage finally be solved this summer? Canadian officials hope so. They are launching a new investigation on Aug. 21, weather permitting, that will include divers and technicians using radar to examine a spot off the coast of Nunavut where one of the preeminent Arctic explorer's three ships was found. Franklin, who along with 128 of his men disappeared in 1845, is an important part of Canadian northern history. As one official says in the Vancouver Sun article, "We've been looking for Franklin for 150 years."
