Letter: Peltola won’t quit

Mary Peltola, an attentive listener and candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, visited my town the other night and made a strong impression. She remembered every person’s name who asked her a question. She thanked them, spoke with compassion and commitment about the Alaska we love, the one enriched by salmon and threatened by ocean acidification.

As the evening ended, she reminded us that Alaskans rise to a challenge, and that she’d be honored to help take us into a bright future. She’s a genuine, thoughtful leader who will never quit.
