Letters to the Editor

Letter: Sad state of affairs

ADN’s editorial board hit the nail on the head. Gov. Mike Dunleavy wants to be king. Mayor Dave Bronson as well.

Transparency is down the tubes. They appoint crooks, predators and incompetents because that’s who donated to their campaigns.

Anchorage voters, starting in days, have the chance to change mayors.

Bronson has created the worst mess this city has seen in the 50-plus years I’ve lived here. Homeless people camp in parks, trails and public safety corridors. No collaboration with experts.

Denial and blaming everyone, never apologizing or making necessary changes. Mistreating far too many good city workers from roads and maintenance to ombudsmen to health care.

Appointing people incompetent and inexperienced, from librarians to the top health care department officials. He’s had millions given to Anchorage via federal programs in the past three years and squandered it. He has denied any role in his supporters’ fraudulent claims about Anchorage’s elections, adding to doubts by some about an election without problems.

It won’t get better if you give him a second term. If you think Donald Trump deserves another four years, you’ll love Bronson. He loves Trump and imitates him. Vote early or absentee. It’s your vote that counts.
