Thanks to Michel Villon for the letter to editor about extreme religions “impos(ing) their religion by illegal acts and violence,” published in the ADN March 7. For a heartbreaking and brutally honest account of these atrocities done to American Indians and Alaska Natives, read “An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States,” by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz. If you care to know the truth as you read this book, have tissues handy.
On a lighter note, I was happy to see a sled dog as reporter along the Iditarod (ADN March 7 photo, page A9). I wonder what that canine news person had to say to Erin Altemus.
