Letter: Conception takes two

I have a concern on the matter of the abortion issue. I’ve listened, studied, and even watched several debates on the topic. With all that information/opinions being discussed from their perspective, I haven’t witnessed/or heard any argument that balances out the gravity of the true penalty imposed on the impregnated party.

In my opinion, the conception process takes two. It is a joint effort. All penalties, fines, court dates, prison time, and direct shame should be applied to both parties. Why has it been deemed fair for men to introduce proposals, vote on, and create laws that govern a woman’s body? But when that same body they fail based on the laws men voted into existence, does only the woman receives the punishment? Help me make it make sense because the math ain’t mathin’.
