Alt-metal band Helmet headlined Road to Warped Tour on Wednesday at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. This is the second year the Warped tour has made an appearance in Anchorage. The festival was founded 20 years ago primarily for skate punk audiences. Metalcore band Issues and pop punkers New Found Glory also made the Anchorage stop, and the outdoor event could be heard miles away from the arena. Along with visiting artists, Road to Warped this year showcased about a dozen local bands, among them Harlequin State, Decepticide and City in Ashes.
