In the last year, several members of the athletic department have had babies. UAA women's basketball coach Ryan McCarthy and wife Jenny had a baby girl near the end of last season; UAA assistant men's basketball coach Cameron Turner and wife Liz had a baby near the beginning of the year; and assistant track and cross country coaches T.J. Garlatz and Ryan McWilliams both welcomed newborns. Garlatz and wife Kristin had a baby boy in April, and McWilliams and wife Amber recently had their second child.
