A wildfire quickly spun out of control near the Alaska community of Willow on Sunday afternoon, growing to a size of more than 1,000 acres in a matter of hours.

The blaze prompted evacuations, destroyed at least one home, and closed down a stretch of the Parks Highway, with crews from Outside called in to assist in the firefighting efforts.
