The 22nd annual BP Invitational American Legion baseball tournament returns Thursday to Mulcahy Stadium.
This season's field features West, Service, Dimond, Columbia (Tennessee), South, Chugiak, Lanakila (Hawaii) and Kenai.
A team from Rhode Island was scheduled to play in the tournament, but it dropped out and was replaced with Kenai.
Last year, the Castroville Cannons of Texas defeated Dimond 10-0 to win the tournament title.
All games will be streamed live on alaskalegion.com.
Each game will be 7 innings with a 2:15 hour time limit. A coin flip will determine the home teams.
The four-day tournament concludes with the championship at 7:30 p.m., Sunday.
