Dimond 8, West 0

Erik Scott pitched a seven-inning no-hitter and struck out five Saturday to lead Dimond Post 21 to an 8-0 American Legion baseball win over West Post 1 at Mulcahy Stadium. The game was shortened to seven innings by the mercy rule.

Colton Lauwers rapped two hits for Dimond and drove in two runs, and catcher Sheldon Rouzon went 3 for 3 with a double and two runs scored.

Service 12, South 2

Service Post 28 used a five-run first inning to blow out South Post 4, 12-2, in an American Legion baseball game Saturday at Mulcahy Stadium.

Service's Cory Crabb delivered the big blow when he hit a two-run home run in the first. He totaled three RBIs.

Bryan Beard went 2 for 4 and pitched five innings for the win, striking out three and allowing four hits.

South's Hayden Karnos nailed an RBI triple.

Chugiak 6, Bartlett 3

Right-hander Cameron Fritz struck out eight in five innings to earn the win Saturday, and also drove in three runs to spearhead Chugiak Post 33 to a 6-3 win over Bartlett Post 29 in American Legion baseball at Mulcahy Stadium.

Chase Gall pitched the last four innings for Chugiak and struck out two to notch the save.

Chugiak's Matt Sullivan drove in two runs and scored on.
