Service Post 28 scored 14 runs in the first two innings on its way to a 19-5 rout of Bartlett Post 29 in an American Legion baseball game at Chad Bax Field on Tuesday night.
Service's Garrett Brown and Chase Van Allen each went 3 for 4 and scored three runs. Brown drove in four runs and Van Allen three.
Van Allen also struck out five and gave up five hits in five innings for the complete game.
Bartlett's Jamison Brock was 2 for 2 with two RBIs.
Chugiak 11, South 8
In a game featuring lots of offense, Chugiak Post 33 showed off some defense, turning four double plays in an 11-8 win over South Post 4 in an American Legion baseball game at Oberg Field on Tuesday.
Chugiak's Matt Sullivan rapped two hits, drove in three runs and scored three times. Cameron Fritz added three hits, three RBIs and a run. Justin Schneider relieved Garrett Balen in the third inning to earn the win.
Chugiak took the lead after scoring six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Dimond 12, Eagle River 2
Matt Pritchard went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBIs Tuesday, leading Dimond Post 21 to a 12-2 win over Eagle River Post 34 in an American Legion baseball game at Loretta French Field.
Dimond's Erik Scott was 2 for 2 with a triple and an RBI.
