Former UAA All-American skier Sean Alexander added a different type of All-America honor to his collection Wednesday.
The native of Calgary, Alberta, was recognized as a second-team NCAA Division II Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Alexander, who becomes one of 15 all-time UAA skiers to garner the prestigious award, holds a 3.75 GPA in management and economics.
He concluded his collegiate career in March with a sixth-place showing at the NCAA Championships in the giant slalom.
UAF skiers Michael Fehrenbach and Nichole Bathe were also honored by CoSIDA.
