Streaking Seawolves move up one spot to No. 9 in Division II volleyball poll

UAA, riding a school-record, 15-match winning streak, moved up one spot to No. 9 in the NCAA Division II poll released Monday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Seawolves, 16-1 overall, lead the Great Northwest Athletic Conference standings at 6-0 entering a pair of home conference matches this week at the Alaska Airlines Center. They entertain Western Oregon (5-8, 2-4 GNAC) at 7 p.m. Thursday and meet Concordia (3-5, 3-3 GNAC) at 2 p.m. Saturday.

UAA last week swept road matches at UAF and Montana State-Billings. The Seawolves have won their four road matches in conference and have swept six of their last seven opponents overall.

UAA has not lost since it was swept by Chaminade in Hawaii in its second match of the season.
