Video: Is that a snowmachine or a Jet Ski?

Campers in the Yukon were forced to ride their snowmachines through six inches of water when a frozen lake turned into a swimming pool of surface water. Snow-covered Lake Laberge, with ice 2 feet thick, was hit with several days of 50-degree temperatures that dissolved the surface snow and created an overflow of meltwater.

The region, much like Anchorage, is experiencing unusually high temperatures. Luckily, the campers had canoes with them, which they were able to fill with gear and tow across the lake with their snowmachines. The illusion created by riding through meltwater makes it look as if the snowmachines are driving through open water.
