Things are really heating up at this year's Seward Halibut Tournament, with a new leader pulling in a 247 pounder three days before the end of the tournament. Scott Cawiezell of Long Grove, Iowa hauled in his lead catch aboard ProFish-n-Sea chartered by Capt. Woody Wedin. Austin Quirion aboard Aurora Charters with Capt. Jon Lester has moved down to second-place with his 216.5 lb halibut, and Larry Parker is in third place with the 204 pounder caught aboard the ProFish-n-Sea Pursuit with Capt. Steve Zernia. The tournament ends June 30. Tickets are $10 per day or $25 for three days. Top participants will win $2,500-$10,000 in prize monies plus daily awards including seats aboard 2012 halibut charters.
