Alaskans, the deadline to file for your PFD is looming

The deadline to apply for your 2018 Permanent Fund dividend is almost here.

For online applications, eligible Alaska residents need to file for the 2018 PFD by 11:59 p.m. March 31. Because that date falls on a Saturday this year, March 30 is the last day to file an application in person at one of the PFD division offices, which close at 4 p.m.

Mailed applications need to be postmarked no later than March 31.

As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, more than 507,000 people had already applied online for their 2018 PFD, according to the state's website.
