Human remains were found on a Nikiski beach Thursday, according to Alaska State Troopers, who said the deceased has not yet been identified.
The remains were found by “people traveling on the beach” and recovered by Alaska Wildlife Troopers, state troopers said in an online report. Alaska State Troopers also responded.
“There are no obvious signs of foul play,” troopers said.
The State Medical Examiner Office will perform an autopsy and try to identify the deceased, according to troopers.
