1 dead after 3 motorcyclists collide on Parks Highway

One person died and two were injured in a multiple motorcycle collision south of Nenana on Friday.

Alaska State Troopers responded to a collision that happened at 10:10 p.m. at Mile 316 of Parks Highway, according to the online troopers’ report. The preliminary investigation showed that Jadakis Perry lost control of his motorcycle while riding at a high speed, troopers said. Two other riders tried to avoid a collision but also lost control of their motorcycles and crashed.

“Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and Jadakis Perry, age 21, of Eielson Air Force Base, died on scene,” troopers said in the report. “The other two were transported to a Fairbanks area hospital for treatment of their injuries.”

Perry’s next of kin have been notified, troopers said.
