Anchorage Assembly members invite public to weigh in on homelessness emergency declaration tonight

Meg Zaletel and Kameron Perez-Verdia, co-chairs of the Anchorage Assembly committee on homelessness, have invited the public to comment on Mayor Ethan Berkowitz’s emergency declaration tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Loussac Library’s Wilda Marston Theater.

In a statement, the two Assembly members said that “the emergency requires the Assembly to quickly consider the possible options and responses, but members want to ensure that there is an opportunity to receive public comment, ideas and concerns. If you cannot make this opportunity to provide in person testimony, please email all Assembly members at helpanchorage@anchorageak.gov or leave a voice message at 907-343-4001."
