Wednesday, April 29, 2020 Community Briefing: Today, the Mayor will be joined by Dr. Deena Bishop, Anchorage School District Superintendent, Chris Schutte, Office of Economic and Community Development Director, and Brendan Babb, Innovation Team Director. The Mayor will give a community update on the “Easing Up” criteria. Dr. Bishop will give a school district update on plans to celebrate seniors, a summer choice program, and for students to collect their belongings from schools. Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz will present a COVID-19 community update at noon Wednesday with Deena Bishop, superintendent of the Anchorage School District.
Berkowitz will discuss the city’s “Easing Up” criteria, and Bishop will give an update on plans to celebrate seniors, a summer choice program, and the plan for students to collect belongings from schools.
