Anchorage police investigate discovery of deceased person on Chester Creek Trail

Anchorage police said Friday that they were investigating a report of a person found dead along the Chester Creek Trail near Sullivan Arena.

The trail was temporarily closed in the area but had reopened by 1:30 p.m. Friday, according to police.

“There will be a police presence in the area as the investigation continues. Ultimately the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death,” police said in an online statement.
