The Anchorage Police Department says a suspect is in custody in its investigation into the death of a man found with gunshot wounds Saturday morning in Midtown.
Brent Avery Smith, 21, was taken into custody late Saturday, APD said in an alert.
Officers responded shortly after 8:30 a.m. to 5151 Business Park Blvd., near International Airport Road and C Street, following a report of a man with gunshot wounds, police said. The man, whom police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A crime scene team arrived shortly afterward to process the scene, police said.
