All Anchorage schools and facilities will be closed Wednesday amid heavy snowfall and poor road conditions, the district says.
All after-school activities are also canceled Wednesday. Rental facilities will be closed.
“Only emergency staff should report for duty, including all facilities and maintenance staff,” the district said in an early morning message.

All school buildings in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough were also closed Wednesday for a “remote learning day,” and all activities are canceled.
