Anchorage police seek public help finding child-porn suspect

Anchorage police say a child pornography suspect is on the loose, and they're looking for help finding him.

A tipster told detectives in September that David Bristow, 52, had images and video of child sexual abuse, police said in a written statement Thursday.

Investigators with the Alaska Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force reportedly verified the tip when they searched Bristow's South Anchorage home. They found computers and other digital media with hundreds of pornographic images and video depicting young children, police said. Detectives believe Bristow left Alaska after the search.

Bristow is now charged with eight felonies: five counts of distributing child pornography and three counts of possessing child pornography.

Police ask that anyone with information on Bristow's whereabouts call them at 786-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 561-7867.
