A woman found dead in a vacant Fairbanks apartment Sunday has been identified, and police are investigating the case as a homicide, according to a statement from Fairbanks police.
Kristen Huntington, 30, was reported missing Friday. When police were searching for her Sunday evening, they discovered her remains at the apartment, the release said.
Police did not say how they came to focus on the apartment.
