A 34 year-old man was found dead after a report of a stabbing on Friday morning in the Spenard neighborhood, Anchorage police said.
Police later identified the victim as Jesse Eves.
Police responded to a home on the 1000 block of West 27th Avenue regarding a stabbing victim where they found Eves, who had died from upper body trauma, police said in an online release.
Police were still investigating the incident and noted that the parties involved were acquainted. Police Friday morning said they believed the event was isolated.
On Friday, police identified a suspect as Issaih Eves, 37, who faces a murder charge and was taken to the Anchorage jail.
The area is just north of Northern Lights Boulevard and just east of Spenard Road.
