Wilson's 74 leads all rough-stock riders at state fair

J.D. Wilson posted a 74 to win the bull riding at last weekend's Alaska State Fair rodeo, the highest mark by any of the rough-stock riders.

All-around honors for the men went to Shawn Hall, who placed first in team roping and second in double mugging. The winner among the women was Christian McCormick, who placed fourth in team roping and third in ribbon roping.

Bull riding — 1) JD Wilson 74; 2) Josh Craft 57.

Bareback — 1) Jesse Kitson 57.

Saddle bronc — 1) Joe Van Natta 49.

Team roping — 1) Stephen Primera/Shawn Hall 8:01; 2) CharlieWillis/Garrett Willis 9.45; 3) Charlie Willis/Tom Blazka 11.23; 4) Christian McCormick/Eli Reintsma 11.45.

Double mugging — 1) Mike Sakraida/Bobby Hone 29.48; 2) Shawn Hall/James Hastings 29.92; 3) Billy Rutherford/Steven Toney 39.39; 4) Stephen Primera/Frank Koloski 46.36.
