• Gertrude Svarny uses traditional materials to interpret the history and culture of Unangan in Ukuqanaadan. On view through April 14.

• "What Why How We Eat” is an exhibition and accompanying a series of public programs that look at how Alaskans connect and share through food, using themes ranging from recipes and the home kitchen to self-reliance and subsistence. On view through Jan. 12, 2020

Captain Cook Coffee Cubby — “Best of Show,” “Peoples Choice” and “Becky’s Choice" will be on display from the Spring Exhibit 2019 by Alaska Artists Guild members. The Crest Gallery — Renate Martin’s “Places and Vases” features original watercolor paintings that are full of color, texture and loose brush strokes. Crush Wine Bistro & Cellar — The artists of Diann Haist’s Atelier Dawn Aumann, Louann Feldmann, Francine Dufour Jones Elsbeth Monnett, Luz Maskell Nino and Paula Phillips, have assembled a visual feast of paintings based on the favorite dishes of several of the classical impressionist painters. International Gallery of Contemporary Art — Don Decker has been drawing and teaching drawing for over 50 years. His exhibition “Subarctic Surfaces: 100 Drawings” is a manifestation of his study of the earth around him and of his practice of making marks on paper. Kaladi Brothers Coffee — In honor of Donate Life Month, Life Alaska Donor Services will feature art by Amanda Rose Warren, Chantelle Marie, Bethany, Beth Libbey, Travis Saunders and special hats by Crab Terror Island with proceeds going to support Life Alaska Donor Services. There will be small bites from Crush Wine Bistro, heart felt transplant recipient stories and information about four Alaskans who need living kidney donation. Snow City Cafe — In celebration of early spring, Melanie Lombard’s new body of work is a series of mixed media, abstract paintings inspired by nests and natural forms that appear to be in transition. Stephan Fine Arts — Annie Brace’s “Wild & Wonderful Works” has become iconic in Alaska, from her XtraTuf boots to pink and turquoise whimsical mountain ranges. Caffe D’arte Dimond — Local art from Leonor Delgado and Britt’Nee Kivliqtaruq Brower will be featured. Delgado is a self taught illustrator and painter, and Brower adds a modern twist to traditional Qupak motifs in her prints and children’s coloring books. Georgia Blue Gallery — In her exhibit “Objets Trouvés,” Cindy Shakes presents an array of beautiful and mysterious assemblages that she says create a personal connection with the viewer.
