4 things to do this weekend in Anchorage

We are in the midst of the holiday season, and many Alaskans are out procuring presents, hanging lights and decorating their trees. That means there isn’t a ton going on locally. But for readers of this column, there will be no coal in your events stocking. Here are a few options for getting out and about this weekend.

Waka Flockmas

9 p.m. Friday; Williwaw Social, 609 F St.

Legendary rapper Waka Flocka Flame slides down the chimney on Friday to hit the stage at Williwaw. Advance general admission tickets are sold out but other ticket options still remain available.

Holiday Tree Tour

4-7 p.m. Friday; Government Peak Recreation Area, North Mountain Trails Drive in Palmer

Enjoy the cheer and lights at Pioneer Loop at the foot of Hatcher Pass. The Pioneer Loop is less than 1.5 miles and is appropriate for all levels of skiers. Bikers and walkers are also welcome.

ACMF Winter Concert: Partitas Reimagined

7:30 p.m. Friday; UAA Recital Hall, 3640 Alumni Drive, Room 150

This winter concert and fundraiser will support the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival’s 12th season. ACMF directors will present an evening of baroque music with guest artists Joseph Gascho (harpsichord) and John Lutterman (continuo). Tickets are $29.50, or $24 for attendees 18 and younger.
