NORDIC MARKET

The 27th Annual Nordic Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Sons of Norway Viking Hall, 8141 Briarwood Street in Anchorage.

New this year is a Drop-Off/Pick Up Area just steps away from shopping and delicious food.

This year’s Nordic Market features Scandinavian and Alaskan items for sale both indoors and outdoors with Norwegian sweaters, Swedish linens, handwoven textiles, kicksleds, stained and fused glass, wild berry jams, gnomes and nisse, enamel mugs, Lobben boots, European handicrafts, Alaskan art, embossed prints, hand-dyed silk scarves, Ukrainian gifts, jewelry, Alaskan pressed wildflowers, wood items - including laser-cut wood maps, hand-carved wooden cribbage boards, porch leaners and repurposed wood art - fresh-baked cardamom buns, woven, knit, embroidered, sewn and felted items, bowl cozies, night lights, pocket hearts and handcrafted candles, along with authors to autograph their Nordic-themed books. The Nordic Cafe serves the “Best Lunch in Town” including meatballs on a stick, polse, hearty soups, warm Norwegian waffles, Danish pastry and Swedish rice porridge.
