Watch live: President Biden addresses nation on anniversary of pandemic lockdown

President Biden will address the nation on Thursday, March 11, marking the first anniversary of the coronavirus crisis and shutdowns across the U.S. Congress approved a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package on Wednesday, authorizing new federal spending to help millions of families still struggling amid the pandemic.

Biden is expected to announce moves to speed vaccinations, including directing that all states make all adults eligible for doses by May 1, as part of a plan to get the country “closer to normal” by the Fourth of July.
