Given the governor’s cuts to, well, just about everything, and the Legislature’s (self-avowed) inability to do anything about them, Alaska’s about to go into a recession the likes of which no Republican has ever explained himself or herself out of.
These cuts are ruinous, and it will take decades for the state to recover. Old people will die and young people won’t be educated, but, hey — freedom. We all remember the Corrupt Bastards Club; what feckless legislators will we remember 15 years from now?
